Palm Coast, FL – A coordinated effort between the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office led to the successful recovery of an abducted child. The incident unfolded on January 25, at around 7:20 PM, when Flagler County deputies were alerted about a suspect from an Osceola County child kidnapping case.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Crystal Williams, was located at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Palm Coast. Flagler County deputies, upon confirming Williams’ presence on the third floor of the hotel, successfully made contact and located the 3-year-old child, who appeared to be unharmed. Williams was detained and subsequently arrested, while the child was safely returned to her mother.

Sheriff Rick Staly of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office commended the swift and coordinated response of the deputies. “This child abduction ended quickly and happily with the child being safely reunited with her mother,” he stated. He emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in such critical situations.

Williams faces charges for Interference with Child Custody, as per an Osceola County warrant. She is currently held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is awaiting transfer to Osceola County for further legal proceedings.
