Lancaster Man Arrested Over Violent Domestic Dispute Related Attack

LANCASTER, PA – Luis A. Torres, a 37-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been charged with strangulation and resisting arrest.

The incident occurred on the 100 block of Tanglewood Lane. Following a family dispute on December 21, 2023, officers were alerted by a witness who heard cries for help.

The victim reported that Torres had applied pressure on their chest and obstructed their breathing.


Torres initially resisted arrest, leading to a minor injury to an officer. He was subsequently taken into custody, with a bail set at $50,000 cash. Torres posted bail and was released from Lancaster County Prison.
