Madison Road Rage Shooting Sends Man to Hospital

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A road rage incident in Madison resulted in one person being hospitalized.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office released information about the shooting that took place around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Deputies responded to US 220 bypass near Sardis Church Road, where they found a male victim in a blue Jeep Wrangler with a leg gunshot wound.


The victim reported that the shot came from a small silver or white Ford or Dodge truck.

The victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has knowledge about the suspect vehicle.
