Pine Bluff, AR – In a significant development, Noah Roush, an escapee from the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center, was apprehended on January 25 following a tip from a vigilant citizen. The Metropolitan Emergency Association (MECA) received a 911 call at approximately 4:00 PM, reporting a sighting of Roush in an abandoned residence near 19th Avenue and Plum Street.

Roush has recently been linked to a 2023 murder.

Bryant was incarcerated following his voluntary surrender to authorities on August 18, 2023, in connection with an incident where he, accompanied by a 17-year-old, reportedly approached the corner of 8th Avenue and Myrtle Street on July 29, 2023. It is alleged that they lethally shot Christopher Harris, 49, at this location. Both individuals are facing charges of capital murder, terroristic acts, and aggravated assault.

Captain Yohance Brunson of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was quick to respond. Upon arriving at the scene, he spotted Roush, who then attempted to flee on foot. A pursuit ensued, culminating in Roush’s capture with the assistance of Captain Brad Vilches and Officer Aaron Torres from the Southeast Arkansas College Department of Public Safety.

The successful apprehension of Roush was a collaborative effort involving numerous law enforcement agencies. Over the past three days, dedicated hours were contributed by deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Pine Bluff Police Department Vice and Narcotics, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Authorities expressed their gratitude to the alert citizen whose call led to Roush’s capture and commended the outstanding efforts of Captain Brunson, Captain Vilches, and Officer Torres. Despite this success, the search continues for Jatonia Bryant, who remains at large.
