Wheaton Residential Burglary Under Investigation

WHEATON, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Friday, at approximately 10:52 a.m., in the 2000 block of University Blvd in Wheaton.

Detectives have now released surveillance footage of the suspect and are seeking public assistance to identify him.

Investigations reveal that the suspect approached a home, entered the garage, and then broke into the victim’s car parked inside, stealing property before fleeing the scene.


Surveillance cameras captured footage of the Hispanic male suspect, described as having a thin build, average height, brown eyes, and approximately 18 to 20 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark gray beanie, a blue trench coat, a white rosary necklace, and black/white shoes.

The Montgomery County Police ask anyone with information about the suspect or the crime to visit the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, MD website at www.crimesolversmcmd.org or call 1-866-411-8477. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Tips can remain anonymous.
