Broward County, FL – Michael Anthony Addison, a 30-year-old man from Broward County, has been charged in connection with a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of 26-year-old Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Zachary Fink and a semi-truck driver. The fatal crash occurred on I-95 early Friday morning during a pursuit initiated by Trooper Fink.

Following the crash, Addison fled the scene, prompting a widespread manhunt. He was eventually located in a residential community after efforts by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Addison faces numerous charges, including two counts each of vehicular homicide, felony homicide, and murder committed during a crime. Additional charges include driving without a license causing death or serious injury, aggravated fleeing, and eluding with serious injury or death, along with felony homicide.

In a poignant gesture, investigators used the handcuffs of Trooper Fink to secure Addison as he was escorted to jail, marking a somber moment of remembrance for the fallen officer.
