Police Believe Recent Bike Thefts Related

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a series of robberies, seeking assistance in identifying the perpetrators.

The first incident occurred on Thursday, January 11, near Pontiac Place and Jackson Avenue. Two unidentified individuals threatened a 20-year-old male and attempted to steal his bicycle. The suspects fled, and no injuries were reported.

The second incident occurred on Friday, January 26, near Trinity Avenue and Pontiac Place, two individuals shoved a 32-year-old male, stealing an E-bike, cell phone, and $30. They then fled, with no reported injuries.


The suspects are described as males, 18-22 years old, with dark complexions and dark clothing. Media depicting the individuals is available through the NYPD’s DCPI.

The NYPD requests anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit tips online.
