ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Aberdeen Township Police Department has released a summary of arrests made in January, showcasing a range of criminal activities.
Highlights include arrests for contempt of court, driving while intoxicated (DWI), simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats, and robbery.
Incidents involved a 24-year-old from Perth Amboy charged with contempt of court on January 1st, a 28-year-old from Matawan arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash on January 2nd, and a 47-year-old Holmdel resident charged with simple assault and child endangerment on January 9th.
Additionally, a 40-year-old Aberdeen man faced charges of robbery and contempt of court on January 13th.
During January, the department responded to 1,296 calls, including 49 motor vehicle accidents and 118 first aid calls. Officers issued 137 summonses and conducted 272 motor vehicle stops. Chief of Police Matthew Lloyd emphasized that all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
