Police Search for Vehicle After D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance to find a vehicle linked to a shooting in Southeast D.C. that took place early yesterday morning.

Officers were called to the scene on the 700 block of 12th Street around 2:39 a.m., where they found an adult male with gunshot injuries. The victim was immediately taken to a local hospital, though his current condition remains undisclosed.

The vehicle suspected of involvement was recorded on surveillance footage. Authorities are on alert for a blue Chevrolet Impala bearing Virginia license plates, last seen heading east on Pennsylvania Avenue.


Authorities are appealing to anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident to contact the police at (202) 727-9099. Tips can also be sent anonymously via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, with instructions not to approach or take any action independently.
