Fourth Suspect Arrested in Connection with Bonifant Street Homicide

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – A fourth individual, D’Angelo Holley, has been arrested in connection with the homicide of Deandre Keith Ellis, a shooting incident that occurred on March 5, 2023.

The arrest took place on Monday, in Montgomery County. Holley, a 24-year-old with no known address, had been evading capture since the incident.

Ellis was fatally shot inside a car outside of the Sweet Sweet Kitchen, located on the 900 block of Bonifant Street. On October 19, 2023, detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division obtained an arrest warrant for Holley.


He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where the arrest warrant charging him with first-degree murder was served.

Three other suspects, Kajohn McCombs, Ahmahd McCombs, and D’Andre Lukes, have previously been arrested in connection with Ellis’s death and are currently held without bond. Holley is now awaiting a bond hearing. The case remains under investigation.
