Multiple Casualties Reported in Greensville County Apartment Complex Shooting

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, VA – A shooting at Brook Ridge Apartments in Greensville County left multiple victims injured Sunday evening. The Greensville County Sheriff’s Office received reports of gunfire just before 7:30 p.m.

Deputies found two male victims with gunshot wounds at the scene. They were initially taken to Southern Virginia Medical Center and later transferred to trauma centers for further treatment. A third victim subsequently arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

One of the victims is currently in a critical condition. The shooting led to the closure of Greensville County Public Schools on Monday, with the division citing advice from local law enforcement and prioritizing student and staff safety.


Multiple bullet holes were observed in the vicinity of the shooting, including in vehicles. No suspect information or possible motive has been released yet.

Greensville County Public Schools is set to reopen on Tuesday, with enhanced security and counseling support for students.
