BALTIMORE, MD – A retired contractor from Baltimore, affectionately known as “Uptown,” is celebrating a substantial $30,000 win from a quick-pick Mega Millions ticket. His lucky purchase was made at Woodlawn Shell, located at 6600 Security Boulevard in Baltimore, on February 2.

“Uptown,” who has a routine of buying lottery tickets, including two Pick 4, two Mega Millions, and two scratch-offs during each visit, decided to add the Megaplier option to his Mega Millions tickets on this particular day. His decision paid off handsomely when he matched four numbers and the Mega Ball, landing a third-tier prize that was tripled to $30,000 thanks to a 3X Megaplier feature.

Initially skeptical of his win, “Uptown” scanned his ticket multiple times to confirm the prize. Overwhelmed with excitement, he secured the ticket in a safe place until he could officially claim his winnings at the Lottery headquarters.

With plans to use the prize money to pay off his house mortgage, a goal he had been praying to achieve by the end of the year, “Uptown” sees this win as a blessing. He also intends to share his good fortune by dividing any remaining funds between his savings and his church.

The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow, with no winners for the jackpot in the February 2 drawing. The estimated jackpot for the upcoming February 9 drawing stands at $394 million, with a cash option of approximately $188.5 million.
