Camden, DE – A 17-year-old student at Caesar Rodney High School was arrested by Delaware State Police for possessing two kitchen knives in his backpack. The incident came to light on the morning of February 6 when school staff alerted the School Resource Officer after finding the knives during a search of the student’s backpack.

The student, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his minor status, was immediately removed from the school premises and placed under the custody of a parent. Authorities confirmed that there were no threats made and no harm came to students or staff as a result of the incident.

Following the discovery, the teenager voluntarily turned himself in at Troop 3. He faces charges of Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, a felony, on two counts.
