WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police in D.C. are calling on the public to assist in identifying a gray four-door sedan believed to be involved in two separate shooting incidents in the District’s Southwest and Southeast areas early Sunday morning.

The first incident occurred at around 2:26 a.m. in the 1200 block of Howison Place in Southwest D.C., where officers, responding to reports of gunfire, found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

A mere 13 minutes later, at approximately 2:39 a.m., a similar distress call led officers to the 700 block of 12th Street in Southeast D.C. At this location, another man with gunshot injuries was discovered and subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators, piecing together evidence from the two crime scenes, identified a gray sedan with tinted windows, captured on surveillance footage, as being implicated in both shootings.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the vehicle or the shootings to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or to submit a tip via the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411
