Early Morning Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Children Injured in the Bronx

New York, NY – A tragic shooting incident in the early hours of Saturday resulted in the death of a 40-year-old woman and injuries to two males, aged 16 and 8, in the Bronx. The violence erupted around 5:13 AM, following a 911 call reporting an assault in progress.

Upon arrival, police discovered the three victims with gunshot wounds. The woman suffered multiple shots to the upper torso, while the 16-year-old and 8-year-old males were hit in the buttocks and left arm, respectively. Emergency Medical Services transported the woman and the teenager to Saint Barnabas Hospital. The younger boy was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi. Both males are reported to be in stable condition.

However, the 40-year-old female victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. As of now, authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation into the shooting continues.


The identity of the deceased woman is being withheld until her family is notified.
