Early Morning Gunfire Erupts in Bethesda

Bethesda, MD – Early morning gunfire erupted inside the Cordell-Saint Elmo Garage located in the 4900 block of Saint Elmo Avenue, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. At approximately 3:15 AM, a police officer on routine patrol reported hearing multiple gunshots emanating from within the parking structure, followed by the sighting of two vehicles hastily exiting the scene.

Investigative efforts led to the discovery of shell casings around 4:05 AM, confirming the discharge of firearms. The incident, occurring in a busy area of downtown Bethesda, has raised concerns about public safety in nightlife and commercial districts.
