21-Year-Old Shot in Neck Sunday Night in Utica

UTICA, NY – A 21-year-old man is receiving emergency care after being shot in the neck late Sunday night, according to the Utica Police Department.

The incident was reported on February 11th at around 10:35 p.m., prompting a rapid response from both Utica Police and Fire units to Cottage Place. Upon arrival, officers found the young male victim, who was swiftly transported to Wynn Hospital. His condition has since been stabilized, and further updates will be provided as they become available.

Preliminary investigations suggest the shooting occurred at a different, currently unidentified location. The victim is believed to have driven himself to a residence on Cottage Place before a 911 call was made
