Atlantic City Man Arrested for DWI and Assaulting Police Officers After Crash

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has arrested a man for driving while intoxicated and assaulting several officers.

In the early hours yesterday, Officer John Bell spotted a vehicle speeding and running red lights on Arctic Avenue. The driver, identified as 39-year-old Dwahn Davis of Atlantic City, eventually crashed into a parked car after failing to stop for a police intervention. Davis emerged from his vehicle holding a beer, displaying clear signs of alcohol or drug influence.

Despite initial resistance, including physical aggression towards Officer Bell, Davis was arrested. He continued to exhibit combative behavior, including kicking, threatening, and spitting at officers, and damaging police property. Davis faces multiple charges, including DWI, aggravated assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest, among others.
