Baltimore County, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department is making a renewed appeal for information regarding the unsolved Valentine’s Day murder of Daniel Coverston, a Towson University graduate, which occurred fifteen years ago.

On the afternoon of February 14, 2009, Coverston was found dead in his apartment located in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle, 21239, with a gunshot wound to the head. At the time of his murder, Daniel was recovering from eye surgery and had left his apartment door unlocked for friends to check on him as per doctor’s orders. He was found lying face down, adhering to his post-surgery recovery instructions.

Despite the passage of time, Daniel’s family continues to seek closure and believes someone associated with Towson University may hold crucial information that could assist in solving the case. The Baltimore County Police Department urges anyone with any information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward.

To encourage tips, a reward is being offered through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for Daniel Coverston’s death.
