Laurel Teen Arrested for September Double Shooting that Killed One

Laurel, DE – A 19-year-old Laurel resident, Azzure Horsey, has been arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder following a September 2023 shooting.

On the evening of September 10, 2023, Laurel Police Department officers were dispatched to West Sixth Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Taylor German inside a vehicle, fatally wounded by gunshots. A 41-year-old Millsboro man, also shot, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since recovered.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit, through diligent investigation, identified Azzure Horsey as the perpetrator. A Sussex County Grand Jury indicted him on February 13, 2024, and he was apprehended the following day without incident. Horsey now faces charges including Murder First Degree and two counts of Attempted Murder, marking a significant development in this tragic case.
