Brick Township High School Marching Dragons Celebrated for State Championship Victory

Brick, NJ – In a recent ceremony, Mayor Lisa Crate honored the Brick Township High School Marching Dragons for their exceptional season, culminating in winning the New Jersey State Championship. Mayor Crate commended the Marching Dragons for their dedication, commitment, discipline, skill, and musicianship, highlighting the achievement as a testament to their hard work. She recognized their success as both well-deserved and well-earned.

During the February 13 Township Council Meeting, Mayor Crate proclaimed February 15 as Brick Township High School Marching Dragons Day. She presented an official proclamation to Band Director Christian Negri, celebrating the team’s achievements. This proclamation marks a significant recognition of the high school band’s accomplishments and their contribution to the community.

The Marching Dragons had an outstanding season, with an undefeated regular season and first-place finishes in every competition they entered. They won the New Jersey Tournament of Bands Region 7 Championship and State Championship, and secured second place at the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championship. This resulted in the highest score ever achieved by the school in this competition. Mayor Crate, reflecting on her own high school color guard experience, commended the Marching Dragons for their hard work and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
