Temporary Parking Restrictions Announced in Yardley Due to Snow Forecast

SNN Weather Center

Yardley, PA – The Yardley Borough Police Department has announced emergent parking restrictions in anticipation of a significant winter weather event expected to begin overnight. The forecast predicts accumulating snow, prompting preemptive measures to ensure efficient snow removal and emergency vehicle access.

Starting at 11 PM on Friday, February 16, a No Parking Order will be in effect along East Afton Ave and South Main Street, as mandated by Borough Code §15-403. The restriction will remain in place until the roads have been cleared. Vehicles currently parked on these streets will need to be moved by 3 AM on Friday, February 16, to avoid being in violation of the new parking order.

Residents are strongly encouraged to remove their vehicles from all streets within the Borough to aid in the snow clearing efforts. This will not only facilitate a quicker cleanup but also ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate the streets without obstruction. The police department thanks the community in advance for their cooperation and understanding during this weather event.
