Bronx Man Arrested for Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident

Bronx, NY – A Bronx man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred last week. Emilio Galvan, a 25-year-old resident of 3536 Hull Avenue, Bronx, NY, was taken into custody on Saturday at 12:00 PM within the confines of the 52nd Precinct. He faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

The arrest follows an incident on Friday, where police were called to the scene of a vehicle collision at the intersection of East 183rd Street and Park Avenue at approximately 7:39 PM. Upon arrival, authorities found a 35-year-old male victim conscious and alert. The victim, who was operating a two-wheeled gas-powered scooter southbound on Park Avenue, collided with the driver’s side of a black sedan traveling eastbound on East 183rd Street. The sedan involved in the collision fled the scene, last seen making a right turn onto Washington Avenue from East 183rd Street.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. T
