BALTIMORE, Maryland – Dexter Nikoe Eaton, 34, from Baltimore, has pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery, marking his involvement in a string of bank and commercial robberies.

This announcement was made by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, Erek L. Barron, alongside officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Baltimore Field Office and the Baltimore Police Department. Eaton’s plea agreement reveals his responsibility for six robberies or attempted robberies between June 3 and July 30, 2022, employing a firearm in four incidents.

Eaton’s criminal spree began on June 3, 2022, with a bank robbery on West North Avenue, where he threatened a teller’s family through a note to secure money.

An attempted robbery followed on June 9 at a financial services business; however, the teller triggered an alarm, causing Eaton to flee.

Eaton’s violent streak continued on June 10 and June 27, with armed robberies at banks on West North Avenue and Liberty Heights Avenue, respectively. In these incidents, he brandished a handgun, threatened customers and employees, and demanded cash under the threat of violence.

The robbery series concluded with two additional armed robberies of businesses on West North Avenue on July 23 and July 30, where Eaton again used a handgun to intimidate employees into handing over money.
