St. Charles, MO – A Missouri jail guard faces multiple charges after allegedly harassing a neighbor and using his position to intimidate others.

Bjorn J. Stotser, 40, has been charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, fourth-degree assault, and resisting arrest.

The incident occurred in an apartment complex in the 800 block of Park Court in St. Charles, Missouri. According to reports, Stotser confronted a neighbor who was cleaning his van, accompanied by a husky-type dog, and falsely claimed the dog was a drug-sniffing canine. Stotser, identifying himself as a corrections officer, allegedly threatened the neighbor and sicced his dog on the man during the encounter.

Further incidents reported to the police involved Stotser aggressively confronting another resident and a subsequent altercation where he is accused of chest bumping an individual after being told to leave the complex’s office.

Following these events, Stotser was placed on administrative leave and is currently held at the Warren County Jail. The St. Charles County Department of Corrections has confirmed Stotser’s arrest and emphasized that the charges stem from off-duty conduct.
