Anne Arundel County Cop Thwarts Two Burglaries in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department has reported the arrest of two individuals in separate burglary incidents in Glen Burnie, thanks to the quick actions of Officer Bacchus and prompt reporting by local residents.

On February 16th, Officer Bacchus responded to a 911 call about a burglary in progress in the 7900 block of Oakwood Road. Upon arrival, he apprehended Valeria Marie Jordan, 49, of Arverne, New York, as she was exiting a home she had entered unlawfully. The homeowner, an elderly woman, was found unharmed inside the residence.

In a subsequent event on February 20th, Officer Bacchus was dispatched to the 200 block of Mountain Ridge Road, where a male suspect, identified as Anthony Chandler Godbolt, 28, from Baltimore, attempted to break into an apartment via the balcony. Thanks to the rapid response, Godbolt was arrested before he could enter the home.


The Anne Arundel County Police Department commended the efforts of Officer Bacchus and the community’s role in these successful apprehensions, highlighting the importance of immediate reporting of suspicious activities.
