COLUMBUS, OH – In an urgent appeal for public assistance, the Columbus Division of Police has released details of a shooting incident that left one man critically injured. Early today, at approximately 11:52 a.m., police were summoned to the intersection of Parsons Ave. & E. Whittier St. following reports of a shooting. Officers discovered a male victim in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition. Due to the severity of his injuries, the case has been escalated to the Columbus Police Homicide detectives for further investigation. Initial findings suggest that an altercation occurred in front of a bus stop moments before the victim was shot.

In their efforts to track down those responsible, detectives have turned to the community for help in identifying two persons of interest captured on nearby video surveillance. The footage revealed a male, dressed in a black coat, jeans, and tan boots, and a female, wearing a light-colored coat with fur-lined hood, dark pants, and dark shoes. Both individuals were last seen departing the scene on motorized bikes.

The Columbus Division of Police urges anyone with information about these individuals or the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
