Atlantic City, NJ – In a recent crackdown on drug-related activities, the Atlantic City Police Department arrested seven individuals, including six men and one woman, in areas identified as major concerns by residents during Citywide Citistat meetings.

The operations, which took place on February 19 and 20, 2024, targeted the Renaissance Plaza and the first block of south Florida Avenue, areas known for frequent drug transactions. The first day saw the arrest of Alexie Cordero and John Jamison at Renaissance Plaza, with Cordero found carrying 57 bags of heroin and 31 Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Films. Jamison was caught with a single bag of heroin and had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The subsequent day’s surveillance led to the arrests of four men and a woman, each involved in separate drug transactions. Authorities confiscated an additional 28 bags of heroin and over 36 grams of cocaine from these individuals.

Charges among the arrested include possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), intent to distribute CDS, and possession of CDS within a specified distance from public zones and school zones. While Cordero and Jamison were detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, the others were released on summons, awaiting future court dates.
