Andy Kim Hoping to Deliver Another Solid Blow to First Lady Tammy Murphy

Trenton, NJ – Andy Kim, an unlikely front-runner for the Democrat party’s nominee for U.S. Senate is hoping he can delivered another blow to First Lady Tammy Murphy.

Rep. Andy Kim’s campaign for U.S. Senate celebrated following his decisive victory against First Lady Tammy Murphy at the Monmouth County Democratic convention nearly two weeks ago. This weekend, Kim is set to potentially replicate his success in both Burlington and Hunterdon Counties, where Democrats will convene to decide their endorsements for the U.S. Senate race.

He beat Murphy on her home turf in Monmouth County, and now the ball is in his court, literally.

Kim, hailing from Burlington County, enjoys substantial popularity among the local Democratic base, positioning him as a strong contender for the endorsement there. In Hunterdon County, despite not having represented the area, Kim’s progressive stance resonates with the county’s progressive committee, hinting at another possible win.

Murphy’s campaign does not appear to be giving up yet, even as Kim leads solidly in the polls.

Securing endorsements in both counties would not only symbolize a continuation of Kim’s momentum but would also provide strategic advantages in the primary election through New Jersey’s county line system. Winning these endorsements is crucial for Kim as he aims to offset Murphy’s influence in larger urban counties, where endorsements are typically decided by party leadership.
