Weekly Arrest Blotter: DUIs and Drug Charges Dominate Local Police Activity

Belmar, NJ – Local police have reported multiple arrests this week, highlighting a series of DUIs and drug-related offenses across the area.

On Monday, February 19, Arkadiusz Targonski, 40, of Belmar, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) on State Route 34 by Patrolman Kevin Donegan. He was processed and released according to John’s Law. The same day, Maximila J. Lombardo, 27, from Manahawkin, was arrested at the Budget Inn on State Route 35 due to an active warrant from Little Egg Harbor and was released after posting bail.

Tuesday saw the arrest of Jaquelin Seymour, 45, of Brick, for an active warrant during a suspicious vehicle check near the Garden State Parkway. Seymour was handed over to the Brick Township Police Department.


The arrests continued on Thursday, February 22, with Crystal G. Austin, 39, of Philadelphia, being charged with prostitution, possession of crack cocaine, heroin, lorazepam, and drug paraphernalia at the Economy Inn on State Hwy 33/34. Austin was processed and released on a summons.

On Friday, Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested John D. Melia, 45, of Tuckerton, for DWI after a stop on State Highway 34, who was then released in accordance with John’s Law. The weekend brought further DWI arrests, including Kenson Sainvilus, 34, of Neptune, and Elnora J. Slaughter, 40, of Howell, both processed and released under John’s Law.

Additionally, Malcolm Rogers, 60, of Long Branch, and Rashan A. Braggs were arrested for possession of cocaine and prescription drugs after a vehicle stop on State Highway 35. They were released on a summons.

The week concluded with the arrest of Rebecca Furman, 32, of Matawan, for possession of suboxone and alprazolam on Sunday, February 25, after a vehicle stop on State Highway 138. She was processed and released on a summons.
