Hero Pennsylvania Cop Saves Choking Baby

York, PA – A Pennsylvania cop has been recognized for his recent life-saving efforts to save a choking baby.

Sgt. Noah Potteiger of the Northern York County Regional Police Department was recognized for his swift action in a critical situation, successfully clearing the airway of an infant who was choking on a bottle’s safety seal.

This recognition came in the form of the Life Saving Award, presented to Sgt. Potteiger at the Northern York County Regional Police Board of Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, February 20.


The award underscores the importance of emergency response training and the role of police officers in ensuring public safety. Sgt. Potteiger’s quick response is a clear demonstration of the impact that law enforcement can have in safeguarding the lives of community members.
