PITTSBURGH, PA – A burglary suspect was apprehended following a home invasion incident on Ley Street. On the evening of February 25th, Zone 1 police officers responded to a call from an 82-year-old woman reporting a burglary at her residence. She was asleep when her home security system alerted her to the intrusion.

Upon inspection, she discovered a side door ajar and provided police with security footage of a male suspect. The video showed the suspect unsuccessfully attempting to unlock the front door before using a key to enter through the side door.

The intruder spent less than a minute inside before exiting and leaving the premises via the same door. Notably, the homeowner reported no stolen items and did not recognize the intruder, nor did she know how he obtained a key to her home.

Following an investigation, officers identified William King as the suspect from the video footage. On February 29, King was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Stalking.
