Woman Arrested After Attempted Purse Snatching in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD – A female suspect was arrested following an attempted robbery in Glen Burnie on February 28, at around 7:40 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a citizen robbery on Crainmont Drive, where an adult female victim was accosted while walking to the Walgreens.

The suspect attempted to steal the victim’s purse by forcibly grabbing it. Despite a struggle that lasted several minutes, the victim managed to retain possession of her purse and continued on her way. The same suspect later confronted the victim again in a second attempt to take the purse, but the victim successfully fended off the assailant once more. The suspect then fled the scene.
