Brick Township Police Department Celebrates Annual Awards Dinner

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department PBA 230 hosted its annual awards dinner on Friday, February 23rd, celebrating the exceptional service and dedication of its officers.

Patrol Officer Michael Miller was honored with the prestigious Kristopher DeMarco Officer of the Year award. This accolade recognizes a patrol officer’s outstanding performance throughout the year, including their legal expertise, departmental accomplishments, and contributions that have earned them or the department public acclaim. Officer Miller, who joined the force in 2004, stood out for his exemplary service.

Detective Tara Schindler received the Thomas McNelis award, acknowledging her exceptional leadership and performance within the Detective Bureau. Detective Schindler, who has been with the department since 2003 and a member of the Detective Bureau since 2015, was recognized for her dedication and hard work.
