Chicago Teen Charged with Carjacking and Drug Possession

CHICAGO, IL – Litzy Rodriguez, an 18-year-old resident of the 10600 block of S. Avenue H in Chicago, faces serious charges following a recent arrest. Rodriguez has been charged with one felony count of vehicular hijacking and one felony count of possessing cannabis, with quantities ranging between 500 to 2,000 grams. Her detention hearing is scheduled to take place at the court located at 2600 S. California on March 7.

The arrest occurred on March 5, at approximately 10:37 p.m., in the 1600 block of N. McVicker Ave. Rodriguez was identified as one of the assailants involved in forcibly taking a vehicle from a 39-year-old male just minutes earlier in the 1800 block of N. Austin, within the 25th District.

Officers responding to the incident managed to locate and apprehend Rodriguez swiftly. Further details about the case have not been disclosed at this time.
