LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ – In a significant turn of events, Lawrence Township police have recovered hundreds of SpaceX Starlink internet terminals valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars, purchased with stolen credit card information. This recovery marks one of the largest fraud cases the local police department has ever encountered.
The investigation was initiated in December following a tip from a resident about an unusual number of deliveries to a home in the area. Police discovered that approximately 675 Starlink terminals, meant for satellite internet service in remote locations, had been fraudulently bought and delivered to a residence on Roxboro Road. These devices were then transported to Northern New Jersey for resale.
35-year-old Kelvin Rodriguez Moya of Newark, New Jersey, was arrested in connection with the scheme. Court documents reveal that Moya was found transporting the terminals for resale and has been charged with receiving and trafficking stolen property. Moya, who does not reside at the implicated Roxboro Road home, is currently held in Mercer County awaiting a detention hearing.
Police have returned the recovered Starlink terminals to SpaceX, which confirmed this incident as the most significant recovery of fraudulent devices to date. The investigation remains active, and Lawrence Township Police Department encourages anyone with information to come forward.
