Peaceful Resolution Reached After Man Barricaded Himself from Police in Rosedale

ROSEDALE, MD — A barricade situation in Rosedale has been peacefully resolved, the Baltimore County Police Department announced late this evening. The incident began around 3:46 p.m. when White Marsh Precinct officers were called to the 1200 block of 62nd Street following a report of shots fired.

Upon their arrival, officers determined the necessity of a barricade and secured the area, with no injuries reported. The suspect was alone inside the location during the standoff. The Baltimore County Police Tactical and Hostage Negotiation Team were dispatched to the scene, working diligently to ensure a peaceful conclusion.

Residents in the vicinity were advised to avoid the area while the situation unfolded. The police department thanked the public for their patience and cooperation during the resolution process.


The incident concluded without any further incidents, and residents were informed through Baltimore County Police Department’s social media channels that it was safe to return to the area.
