Police Asking for Help Identifying Burglars in Germantown

GERMANTOWN, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two male suspects involved in an attempted burglary on Ridge Road. The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, around 9:14 p.m., prompting a response from officers of the 5th District.

Despite efforts, the suspects were unable to gain entry into the residential complex and bike lockers. Surveillance footage captured the suspects, one wearing a face covering, a dark jacket with a hoodie, light pants, and carrying a backpack. The second suspect was seen in a light hoodie, light pants, and also carrying a backpack.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the attempted burglary to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County. Informants may visit www.crimesolversmcmd.org, use the “www.p3tips.com” link, or call 1-866-411-8477. Tips leading to an arrest could be rewarded with amounts ranging from $250 to $10,000.
