BALTIMORE, MD — The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating two separate incidents in the Southeast and Southwest Districts that occurred on March 7.

In the Southeast District, officers patrolling the 1800 block of Orleans Street noticed a vehicle with significant damage. Upon stopping the vehicle, they discovered the driver, a 23-year-old male, had sustained a non-life-threatening graze wound. The officers promptly assisted the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Southeast District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation, appealing to the public for any information related to the incident.

Meanwhile, in the Southwest District, a response to a report of an unresponsive individual in the 200 block of Furrow Street revealed a more dire situation. Officers found a 41-year-old male with life-threatening gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the body, and Homicide detectives are leading the investigation into the death.

The Baltimore Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding either of these cases to come forward and contact the appropriate detectives. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line or the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland website.
