D.C. Police Quickly Nab Suspect in Robbery and Assault

Washington, D.C. – In a prompt response to a robbery and assault incident, officers from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Seventh District have successfully apprehended a suspect shortly after the crime was committed in Southeast, Washington, D.C.

The incident occurred on Saturday, at around 12:55 p.m., when the suspect, later identified as 59-year-old Gardner Bradley of Southeast, D.C., assaulted a man and stole his property on the 3900 block of 4th Street, Southeast. The swift action of the responding officers led them to a nearby apartment where Bradley was found.

Upon attempting to take Bradley into custody, he assaulted one of the officers. He has been arrested and faces charges of Robbery and Assault on a Police Officer.
