Arrest Made in January D.C. Shooting

Washington, D.C. – An arrest has been made by the D.C. Metro Police Department in connection with a January shooting in Northeast D.C. that left one individual critically injured.

On the evening of January 11, at about 9:26 PM, police were dispatched to the 4200 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast, after reports of gunfire were received. Although initial responders found evidence of a shooting, no victim was present at the scene. The victim was later identified at a local hospital, receiving care for critical injuries from a gunshot wound.

Following an investigation, Marcus Martin, 27, of Northeast, D.C., was arrested on March 8 under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. Martin is charged with Assault with Intent to Kill.
