Fatal Shooting in the Bronx Leads to Arrest

BRONX, NY—Courtney Howell, a 28-year-old resident of St. Ouen Street in the Bronx, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The event occurred at the intersection of Morris Avenue and East 174th Street on the evening of November 19, 2023.

Responding to a 911 call, police found Howell with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead. The case remained under investigation until a breakthrough on March 12.

Rashawn Pough, 29, of 407 East 160 Street in the Bronx, has been apprehended in connection with Howell’s death. Pough faces charges of murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, highlighting law enforcement’s commitment to justice. The investigation is still active.
