Man Robbed and Assaulted in Chelsea, Suspect at Large

NEW YORK, NY – A robbery occurred in Chelsea, leaving a 44-year-old man without his belongings and suffering from a fall. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday, around 2 AM, near 12th Avenue and West 24th Street.

An unidentified male assailant attacked the victim, pushing him to the ground before forcibly taking his backpack. The backpack contained a phone, a wallet, and personal bank cards. Following the theft, the assailant used the victim’s bank cards for unauthorized transactions.

The suspect fled on foot and remains unidentified. Authorities are investigating the incident and seeking any information on the assailant’s whereabouts.
