Firefighters Contain Fire to Garage in Stafford

Stafford Township Police Department announced that on Saturday, March 16, around 3:00 AM, a structure fire occurred at 154 Division Street. Responding to the scene were Stafford Township Fire Department, EMS, and Police, who successfully contained the fire within the garage area. Fortunately, all occupants and pets evacuated the residence safely.

While the incident remains under investigation, initial findings suggest that the fire originated in the garage due to a battery malfunction. The department expressed gratitude to all agencies involved in the swift response, including Barnegat Fire Dept., Waretown Fire Dept., Forked River Fire Fast Team, Berkeley Township Hazmat, and Stafford Township Fire Prevention.
