Man Robs Neighbor a Knifepoint in Utica

Utica Police responded to a robbery investigation on March 1, in the 800 block of Morris St. According to dispatch, the victim reported that his neighbor had confronted him, demanding property. When refused, the neighbor allegedly brandished a knife, threatening the victim, and forcibly took the property.

The victim recounted that the suspect returned a second time, demanding more property and again stealing it by force. After the second incident, the suspect fled towards Bleecker St, with the victim providing a description of his attire.

During an area check, officers located a male matching the description holding the stolen property. The suspect was stopped, positively identified as the offender, and subsequently taken into custody. Dumo Lual, 23, of Utica, was charged in connection with the incident.
