Rockville Police Investigate Shooting on Rockville Pike

Rockville, MD – In the early hours of March 17, 2024, the Rockville City Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male from Rockville who had sustained two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim received prompt medical attention from Montgomery County Fire Rescue and was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The Rockville City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit has taken charge of the case, actively probing the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Despite the incident, authorities have assured the public that there is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the community.
