NYPD Investigating Deadly St. Patrick’s Day Stabing in Harlem

NEW YORK, NY — A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday as a 47-year-old man was fatally stabbed inside a residence located at East 132 Street and Madison Avenue, within the 25th Precinct’s jurisdiction in Harlem.

Responding to a 911 call around 12:19 PM, police discovered that the victim, identified as Michael Smith of 60 East 135 Street, had been attacked multiple times by an unknown assailant who subsequently fled the scene. Smith was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation into the stabbing continues.
