Washington, D.C. – A series of burglaries targeting local businesses has culminated in the arrest of 43-year-old Eyob Hailu by detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department. Hailu, who is of no fixed address, is accused of breaking into three establishments over two days and stealing various items, including merchandise and multiple bottles of wine.

The first incident occurred late on March 12, when police were alerted to a break-in at a business in the 2100 block of 14th Street NW. Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken rear door and confirmed the property theft from the premises. Subsequent burglaries were reported in the early hours of March 13 at locations on 9th Street in Northwest D.C. and 12th Street, where Hailu allegedly stole additional goods, including wine.

Security camera footage proved instrumental in identifying Hailu as the perpetrator of these crimes.
