Brooklyn Park Victim Mugged by Moped-Riding Suspects

BROOKLYN PARK, MD — A robbery in Brooklyn Park late on March 17 has prompted an investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of Hammonds Lane and Upland Road, specifically in the vicinity of 5502 Ritchie Highway.

A 27-year-old individual was targeted by two suspects who approached on a white moped. One of the assailants brandished a knife, rifled through the victim’s pockets, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Following the robbery, the suspects made their escape, heading north on Ritchie Highway aboard the moped. Despite efforts by responding officers to locate the perpetrators immediately after the incident, the search was unsuccessful.

Northern District detectives have taken up the case, issuing a call for any information that may aid in the investigation.
