Gunman in Early Morning Workplace Fatal Double Shooting Arrested

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A man from Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, has been charged in connection with a shooting at a business in Blawnox, which occurred early on March 19. The Allegheny County Police Department responded to reports of an active shooter at around 6:30 AM, within the 300 block of Fountain Street.

Upon arrival, officers from multiple departments entered the building and apprehended 42-year-old Sean Black without incident, recovering two firearms at the scene. Inside, they found two victims, a 30-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the location, and a 26-year-old man who was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Both victims were identified as employees of the business where the shooting took place.

The incident prompted an investigation by the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Preliminary findings suggest that the shooting, involving the employee Black, had domestic motivations. Further details are being investigated, as the community and law enforcement work to comprehend this tragic event.
